About us:

Darlene Webb (Owner):

Darlene was born in Niagara Falls, NY. She spent her early education pursuing a nursing degree and worked her way from a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) all the way to Lead Nurse Practitioner at Eastern Maine Medical Center Cardiothoracic Surgery. She attended Niagara University and Husson College and holds Masters degrees in both nurse practitioner and health care business management. She has resided in Maine for over 20 years.

With a strong education in medicine as well as people and business management she has never lost focus on her biggest love, animals. She has owned and cared for all types of animals from fish to horses her entire life. She has volunteered at animal shelters and the Humane Society. She most recently worked with an animal rescue group and has fostered displaced dogs and cats. Darlene has also cared for and helped manage sick animals with seizures, diabetes, cancer and has also volunteered to help local elderly retain ability to keep their animals in their homes.

After finding that the Hampden area has long waiting lists for animal care resources at all local kennels, she has chosen to pursue her dream of owning and operating a high end Pet Resort. Ultimately, she has decided to mirror resources in the southern United States and bring a new look and feel to pet daycare and boarding in Maine.

Corey Webb (President):

Corey was born in Bangor, Maine. He attended the University of Maine and Alderson- Broaddus College in West VIrginia. Corey had extensive training in Internal Medicine and Surgery and was awarded the National Health Scholarship and dual Gold Star NCCPA board recognition. He works as the only Pediatric Endocrine Physician Assistant in the state of Maine. He has been responsible for the care management of the Pediatric Diabetes Program in Bangor. Corey has worked in the local area for over 25 years.

Corey has coached youth basketball for 30 years , has been on the school board and committed time to the youth in his community. He has had some outside business interests in the ownership/management of rental property in Maine and Florida. Corey also has some retail experience in the Automotive and autosports sector and has established buy/sell connections with dealers in Canada in the past.

Corey has also worked with Rescue animals and fosters displaced dogs. Corey has helped work with less fortunate animals that need further medical attention than typical foster animals.

With strong connections to the community, Corey will be responsible for all mechanical, advertising , structural and contractual management of the pet resort.

Emily Martin & Freya
Manager

Emily Martin (Manager):

Emily was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and has lived many places as she comes from a military family. She was fortunate to spend every summer on Mount Desert Island with her mother’s family until she and her family moved to Orrington, Maine during her sophomore year in High School. She is a graduate of Bangor High School.

Emily has had a great love for all animals since she was a child and decided early on that she wanted a career in animal care. She was especially into horses and equine studies as well as being a competitive swimmer and lifeguard during her youth. She pursued equine studies and barn management at the University of New Hampshire and became a therapeutic riding instructor after college. She worked in doggie daycares while in college and then again in later years in Williamsburg, Virginia where she was a lead daycare attendant for a large pet resort. This facility was attached to a vet practice that specialized in 24 hour care for many chronically and acutely ill dogs and cats that needed medical oversight and care while being boarded.

Emily has several years of experience with challenging behavioral and aggressive breeds and is especially passionate in educating people on these types of dogs. She has a beautiful American Bully named Freya and a bunny named Sven. She has held certifications in Lifeguarding, swim instruction, pool operation, therapeutic riding instruction and equine specialist.
